KONNECT  6yrs – 3rd Grade

Summary: Compared to Bible heroes and superheroes, it may seem like a regular kid might not have courage. But in this lesson this week, we learned what courage really is and how God can empower all of us when we trust in Him. Courage is bravery in the face of fear, doing what’s right even when no one else is, never giving up on the directions God has given us, praying to see God’s promises come true, and giving up everything in our lives as a sacrifice to Him
The Point: God gives me courage to never give up.
The Verse: Galatians 6:9 NLT  So let’s not get tired of doing what is good.  At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

LOOP  4th – 6th Grade

Summary: Is being a Christian a religion or a faith? Religion is just trying to follow a bunch of rules. But faith is “being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you can’t quite see.” With even a little faith, God can do great things through you. This week we learned that wee need to be confident in our faith no matter what happens in your life or what people say.
The Point: Faith isn’t passive—it’s active. God calls us to live out our faith and share it.
The Verse: Deuteronomy 31:7-8 CEB … Moses called Joshua and … said to him: “Be strong and fearless because you are the one who will lead this people to the land the Lord swore to their ancestors to give to them … But the Lord is the one who is marching before you! He is the one who will be with you! He won’t let you down. He won’t abandon you…
Application: Read Deuteronomy 31:7-8 CEB together. What’s happening in this verse? How can this verse apply to your life? Who is someone in your life that needs to hear about God? How can you share your faith with them? What are some other ways to practice sharing your faith?

  1. READ: How To Strengthen Your Faith : Complete this Bible Plan together!
  2. SING: listen to the song “Joy of The Lord”
  3. PRAY: At bedtime each night pray together.  Ask kids what they want to talk to God about, and pray with them. Don’t know what to pray? Pray this: God, thank You for who You are. We pray that we would not only grow in our personal faith but also that we’d be able to share our faith with others.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

KONNECT  6yrs – 3rd Grade

Summary: Our best isn’t good enough—but God’s grace is! Two things often keep us from from freely accepting God’s grace. We either think we’re too bad for God to accept us, or we think that we can be good enough on our own. In this four-part series, kids learn that neither is true. Instead, God’s grace is available to us all when we simply accept the sacrifice Christ made for us on the cross! Today we discussed that we are all sinners and that none of us deserves forgiveness. But because of God’s Grace we can be forever friends with God.
The Point: Everyone sins, but God’s grace wins.
Verse: Romans 6:23 NLT For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

LOOP  4th – 6th Grade

Summary: This month the Loop will be studying what God’s grace can look like in our lives and will challenge students to receive grace and give grace to others—because God gave us grace first. …. This week we wrap up our series by seeing why Rick is able to give so much grace to others, even when they aren’t kind to him.
